Sony gave us lots of surprises at E3 this year. With The Last Guardian being re-re-re confirmed and Shenmue 3 getting a Kickstarter campaign, you would think there is nothing more. But, then we received notice of a FFVII remake, a new robo-dino game Horizon, and much more. Here are the details:

  • Finally, new gameplay for The Last Guardian was shown and the game has been confirmed for 2016
  • A new Street Fighter V trailer was shown
  • No Man’s Sky, a space combat and procedurally generated game, had some gameplay shown
  • Dreams, a game where players can create, share, and explore a network of dreams, was announced
  • Travel the wilderness in a new mystery game Firewatch
  • The Taken King will be the next Destiny expansion and will include new gear, a map, and a co-op strike
  • New gameplay of Assassin Syndicate was released
  • A new trailer for Batman: Akrham Knight shows the first moments of the games vast open world
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops II showed off some gameplay and will give PS4 users exclusive maps with online beta access
  • Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition adds Star Wars characters and will be launched this fall
  • Star Wars: Battlefront will have a survival mode – kill tons of enemies and complete the objectives
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has new gameplay
  • Horizon: Zero Dawn will be a new IP where you can fight robotic dinosaurs
  • Another Hitman will be released
  • A new game, World of Final Fantasy, will be released for PS4 and PS Vita in 2016
  • A remake of Final Fantasy VII is in the works for 2016
  • Shenmue 3, a cancelled Dreamcast project, has started a Kickstarter campaign

Nintendo as usual, start us off with a cute animated intro. They are heavliy preparing for 2016 with a new Zelda, Xenoblade, Metroid, and more. Also, Amiibo reveived a large feature at this conference. Read on:

  • Hyrule Warriors Legends for the 3DS has been officially confirmed for 2016
  • Fire Emblem Fates launched a trailer
  • Xenodblade Chronicles X will release on December
  • Make your own Mario game with Super Mario Maker this September 11
  • The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes will succeed Four Swords
  • Metroid Prime Federation Force will be a four player co-op released in 2016
  • Amiibo festival was announced. It is an Animal Crossing board game with Amiibos.
  • Yo-Kai received an English Trailer
  • Mario & Lugi: Paper Jam is a new RPG bringing Luigi into the paper world
  • Mario Tennis is launching on the Wii U

Okay, RPG Lovers, prepare to plan out your next year. Square Enix announced several new games like Kingdom Hearts 3, NIER, Tomb Raider Go, and many more. Here is the list:

  • Just Cause 3 will release December 1
  • Rise of the Tomb Raider has a new trailer
  • FFVII will be remade and there will be an iOS version
  • World of Final Fantasy was shown and will release in 2016
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will release in early 2016
  • A NIER sequel was announced
  • Tomb Raider Go, a turn-based game, was announced
  • Kingdom Hearts 3 has some new gameplay footage
  • Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will be launched in 2016
  • Final Fantasy will have a portable app – details to come
  • Tokyo RPG Factor was launched to start a new project called Setsuna to be released in 2016
